BAD RELIGION: 'EMPIRE STRIKES FIRST'
(Epitaph/Dancing Bear; 2004.) 
Osim izvrsnog uvodnog atmosferičnog instrumentala 'Overture' i pokojeg netipičnog zvučnog dodatka, na ostatku svog trinaestog studijskog albuma Bad Religion nisu previše mijenjali svoj zvuk. Godinama jedni od najvažnijih predstavnika američkog punka, premda više kroz utjecajnu etiketu Epitaph gitarista Bretta Gurewitza nego kroz samu glazbu benda, ovaj su put uz donekle očekivanu i klišeiziranu glazbu ponudili sjajne i aktualne tekstove koji su znatno zreliji nego nedavni Green Day pokušaj na istom terenu s 'American Idiot'. To se posebno odnosi na sjajne analize post 9/11 Amerike u 'God`s Love', 'Atheist Peace', 'To Another Abyss', a pogotovo na najbolju skladu albuma 'Let Them Eat War' na kojoj gostuje sjajni hip-hop pjesnik Sage Francis.
